Can I choose the name of the service offered?
Yes, you can fully customize the name of the service. It is represented as a Product in your store, which you can name whatever you like!
How does my customer activate their membership?
The key activation is done by your customer purchasing a product that you designate, much like other popular 'shipping club' services. This can be done as simply as setting up a new product page and using your existing product templates, or with some custom code could be added as an easy-add product as part of your cart flow
Does the customer get free shipping during their first purchase of the membership?
Yes, by default the customer will have a free shipping option available to them if they are currently checking out with your designated product/variant in their cart
Can the merchant apply a tag other than 'prime' to the product?
Currently, this is not possible. Future releases plan to support modifying the tag that is applied to your product via the admin interface
Can I set the duration of a membership for my customers?
Yes, we provide an easy way for you to set how long a customer is subscribed to the club before having to renew. The default is set at 1 year.
What happens when the customer's membership runs out?
Our app automatically removes the tag from the customer that designates them as a premium customer. If they wish to renew, the customer just re-purchases the product. (Coming soon - a partnership with a recurring billing app to enable auto-renewals!)
Is this available for non Plus stores on Shopify?
Currently this is only available to Plus stores, as we have to use a feature created by Shopify that they have only opened to Plus merchants. It is possible this will be opened up to all merchants in the future, so if this is of interest, sign-up to our mailing list below for very infrequent updates about our app and availability.
Do I need to do any manual code additions for this to work?
The most basic installation requires no coding other than what is automatically installed. If, however, you wish to add a feature like up-selling the membership in the cart, this may need custom coding.
